PARTNER WITH COOPER DELIVERED EARTH.

KEEP EARTH FREE FOR THE GARDENER. HELP US GROW WHAT IT CAN DO FOR THE COMMUNITY.

Cooper Delivered Earth is a free Australian gardening app built in rural Western Australia. We’re exploring partnerships with councils, seed companies, community organisations, aligned brands and others who can help Earth reach more gardeners or become more useful to the communities it serves.

And partnership doesn’t always mean money.

partnership_definition.expanded();

01 / THE IDEA

WHAT IF THE PEOPLE USING EARTH WEREN’T ALWAYS THE PEOPLE ASKED TO PAY FOR IT?

A familiar app journey looks something like this: build the app, grow the users, add ads, add subscriptions, ask the user to pay.

I’m interested in seeing how far we can go in another direction.

Earth is currently free for individual gardeners and contains no third-party advertising.

Rather than filling it with conventional ads or immediately putting useful functionality behind subscriptions, I would like to explore whether organisations already connected to gardening, sustainability and community could help Earth grow.

A partnership should earn its place inside Earth by making Earth better for the gardener.

02 / WHERE EARTH CAME FROM

THE HUMBLE SHAMPOO BAR HAS BEEN WORKING RATHER HARD.

Cooper Delivered began with something considerably smaller than an app. A shampoo bar.

I’m a hairdresser, and Cooper Delivered’s eco haircare products became the beginning of a much larger journey around sustainability, business and building things differently.

The customers who buy those products have indirectly helped make projects like Earth possible. Hosting costs money. Digital infrastructure costs money. Storage costs money. Development and improvement take resources.

And somehow, behind this gardening app, there’s a humble shampoo bar quietly helping pay the bills.

I’m enormously grateful for that. But Cooper Delivered has its own journey too.

The long-term vision includes establishing a manufacturing facility on our rural Western Australian land and growing what began as a small eco haircare business into something capable of making more of its products locally.

Earth shouldn’t have to compete with that dream forever. And individual gardeners shouldn’t automatically have to carry the cost either.

So I’m exploring another way.

03 / PARTNERSHIP DOESN’T JUST MEAN MONEY

VALUE CAN MOVE IN MORE THAN ONE DIRECTION.

SHARE EARTH

Feature Earth where gardeners already listen.

Share Earth on your website, newsletter, blog, social channels, community notice or other relevant communication.

Value to Earth: more gardeners discover it.

Value to you: your audience discovers a free practical gardening resource.

RUN A COMMUNITY PILOT

Test Earth with a real community.

A pilot could include local resources, community feedback and learning which features people genuinely use.

Value to Earth: evidence, learning and improvement.

Value to the community: access to a tool shaped around real local use.

CONTRIBUTE LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

Put useful local information where gardeners can find it.

Seed libraries, composting programs, workshops, community gardens, sustainability initiatives and local growing information could all become more useful when connected to the right people.

SPONSOR SOMETHING USEFUL

Fund utility, not interruption.

A seed company, nursery, sustainability organisation or aligned business might help support a plant resource, more journal capacity, educational information, a growing initiative or a useful feature.

HELP US REACH MORE GARDENERS

Sometimes distribution is the partnership.

You might have an audience, a newsletter, a community network, a website, a publication or a room full of gardeners.

BUILD SOMETHING TOGETHER

Bring the problem. We can talk about the possibility.

Your organisation may see an opportunity we have not considered: a pilot, an integration, a local program, research, education, community resilience or something completely different.

04 / START LOCAL

START LOCAL. LEARN. PROVE IT. GROW.

Cooper Delivered Digital is built in rural Western Australia, and we believe the best place to learn what community-supported Earth could become is in real communities.

Rather than designing a theoretical council product and attempting to sell it nationally, we’re interested in starting small.

Work with communities. Listen to gardeners. Test what information is actually useful. Learn what councils and organisations need. See what people actually use. Then improve it.

05 / WHAT COULD LOCAL EARTH BECOME?

LOCAL EARTH COULD BECOME MORE LOCAL.

Depending on the partnership, community support could help us explore resources that make Earth more useful for a specific place.

PHOTO JOURNALS

Expanded photo journals.

More room for gardeners to document their gardens.

LOCAL PLANTING

Local planting information.

More relevant growing guidance for local conditions and seasons.

SEED LIBRARIES

Seed-library information.

Help residents discover seed-sharing resources in their area.

COMPOSTING

Composting programs.

Put existing local programs somewhere gardeners can actually find them.

WORKSHOPS

Community workshops.

Connect digital gardening with things already happening on the ground.

COUNCIL RESOURCES

Council and community notes.

Surface genuinely relevant local sustainability information.

LOCAL DIRECTORY

Local directory connections.

Help gardeners discover relevant local services, organisations and growing resources.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

Useful notices without the noise.

Explore ways of surfacing relevant gardening and sustainability information without turning Earth into an advertising feed.

These are possibilities we’re interested in exploring. They are not a claim that every feature is currently available or that every partnership will include them.

06 / WHO COULD PARTNER WITH EARTH?

EARTH SITS BETWEEN GARDENING, SUSTAINABILITY, EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Councils and shires.

For community gardening, sustainability, waste reduction, resilience and digital community resources.

SEED COMPANIES & NURSERIES

Businesses already helping people grow.

Partners who can add practical value without interrupting the gardener.

COMMUNITY GARDENS

Groups already growing together.

Earth could help connect planning, learning, sharing and local participation.

LIBRARIES & COMMUNITY CENTRES

Places built around access to knowledge.

Gardening, food, sustainability and practical learning all belong in community spaces.

EDUCATION

Schools and education programs.

For plant learning, sustainability, gardening and practical environmental education.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Regional innovation and digital capability.

Technology should not require someone to live in a capital city to benefit from it.

ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANISATIONS

Landcare and aligned groups.

Partners interested in helping practical growing knowledge reach more people.

GARDEN & SUSTAINABILITY BRANDS

Brands with a useful role to play.

The question is not whether a logo can appear. The question is whether gardeners gain something meaningful.

MEDIA & PUBLISHERS

Gardening, sustainability and regional media.

Editorial coverage, useful stories and community distribution can all help Earth reach more gardeners.

PEOPLE WITH AN AUDIENCE

You do not have to be a corporation.

If you have gardeners listening and genuinely think Earth would help them, there may be something worth talking about.

07 / PARTNERSHIP PRINCIPLES

THE GARDENER COMES FIRST.

We’re open commercially. We’re not open indiscriminately.

A partnership shouldn’t make Earth annoying to use. It shouldn’t turn a gardening tool into an advertising feed. It shouldn’t recommend something simply because someone paid the most. And it shouldn’t require gardeners to hand over unnecessary personal information.

USEFUL > LOUD
RELEVANT > INTERRUPTIVE
PARTNERSHIP > AD SPACE
GARDENER > LOGO

08 / LET THE GARDENER ASK

EARTH USERS CAN START THE CONVERSATION TOO.

Inside Earth, gardeners can copy a prepared message to send to their local council.

It explains that they use Cooper Delivered Earth and asks whether their council would consider supporting expanded community access and local resources.

We do not want to walk into a council and simply say, “We think your residents want this.”

We would rather give residents a way to say, “I use this. Could we have more of it here?”

09 / PARTNERSHIP FORM

COULD EARTH WORK WITH YOUR COMMUNITY OR ORGANISATION?

A regional council may need something completely different from a metropolitan council. A community garden may see an opportunity we have not considered. A seed company, publisher, educator or local organisation may have a different idea again.

Want to understand Earth before discussing a partnership? Explore Cooper Delivered Earth to see how the gardening app works, or download it free from Google Play and try it in your own garden first.

You do not need a proposal, budget or finished plan. If you can see a way Earth could help your people, or you could help Earth reach more gardeners, start there.
